Voluntary Redundancy & Repayment of Education Fees

Hi, I'm being made redundant at the end of March when I go on maternity leave. I have just recieved an email saying that I have to pay back some of the fees for a course I did that work paid for as I only finished it last year. When signing up for the course I had to sign an agreement that I would pay back the money if I left the company within 3 years of completing the course. However, I wasn't really expecting this to be the case with redundancy. I am taking voluntary redundancy though rather than it being enforced so I guess that probably makes a difference? Anyone know where I stand? If I have to pay it then I will but I don't want to be taken for a ride either!

it would be highly unusual. I have never seen them *not* been waived. But, you need to make sure it is in your VR agreement! Ask HR.Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0
