Sony Ericsson K800i?

I am planning to purchase a new mobile phone and I have been a fan of the Sony Ericsson K800i when it came out and I have noticed they have produeced it in silver for O2.

Does anyone own the K800i, and what do you think of it?

If I purchase from O2 I can get £35 cashback via Quidco and O2 online are currently offering a 1gb m2 memory card for free

Got one on 3 the black one. Had it since they come out more or less last August/September time.

Good phone a lot of good functions but bit temperamental. Had to send it in a couple of times for repairs and you have to buy your own memory stick.

What sort of problems have you had with the phone? I presume they have fixed it for free with it being under the warrenty

O2 are currently throwing in a 1gb memory stick for the time being which will save me a couple of quid

Do you find the phone a decent size? my current phone is a Samsung D600 which is slightly maller and lighter than the K800i

I've got a black one and I love it. Never had any problems with it.

I need a digital camera for work, but the quality of the pictures is so good that I never bother taking my normal camera and just use the phone for work.

Never needed a memory card, but I don't use the MP3 player, and download my pics onto the PC at the end of a working day to go with reports.
Here I go again on my own....

maybe mine was just a one off with buggy firmware being an early model. But sometimes it comes up with a white screen freezes and you have to take the battery off.

The battery was faulty after 5 months, and wasnt covered by warranty. Although after a couple of complaints over the phone i was refunded the price of a new one. If o2 are doing it with a free mem stick i would snap it up.
  • I have one in black and its fab! Definetely go with black though, the silver looks a bit plasticy

The K810i is coming soon, and from the pictures on SE's Web Site looks like they may have fixed the K800i's biggest problem. The Camera Shutter coming open easily in your poscket plus it is slightly smaller.
