IDEAL LOGIC Boiler - add 6 Radiators

Combi boiler installed is a Ideal Logic 30.
5 radiators - 3*3kW, 2.7kW and a 2.3kW.
Total kW is 14.
Is the maximum 30Kw?
What would happen if more radiators than 30Kw were added?
thanks

BTW, Ideal Logic 30 is £863 with 5 years warranty

A combi is always rated for the hot water output, not CH.

The smart answer is expect a very large gas bill.

The technical answer is that only the heat losses for the house with each room at its design temperature is relevent. Unless you live in a shed in Siberia that will be much less than 30kW.

Because combi boilers are rated to deliver hot water the heating output is more than adequate for a typical house, however many radiators.

It's a 24kW output boiler for CH. The more radiators you add the longer the house will heat "from cold". However you will need a very large house to require 24kW of heat to maintain the temperature. You need to do a heat loss calculation on your house to find out what the heat loss is at 21 degrees. 24kW would mean you have a house more than 3 times the size of my 3 bedroom house. My 12kW boiler has 8 radiators and it copes quite well. Technically the more radiators you have then the higher the chance the return temperature of the water will be lower and the boiler will be condensing and being more efficient. I would say with your 5 radiators the boiler will modulate down to the minimum setting of 5kW most of the time and would only run at 24kW whilst heating from cold.
