A real handbag price - well, the price the Kiplings get punted out at could buy something of much better quality and style. Without going designer.

I would second Trikers rec of the New Raisin - it hold lots but it still pretty slimline and neat for a medium bag.

If you keep an eye out on the Grabbit Board there are often Kiplings there - have had a nice small Quaso for 12.60 - but full price £42 and the Reth is a good medium size with lots of pockets - some were under £20 but full price is over £60 - you just have to keep a look out.
Lots of videos on Youtube showing the actual bags and sizes.

I love Kipling bags and have several (though I keep using just one as it's just right - don't know what it was called) BUT:
a) I'm a Grandma and I like the bags because the smaller members of my family LOVE the monkeys
b) I get them At Bicester Village where they are a lot cheaper (though you have to get what they have on the day)
and c) I would never say that they are 'smart' with those bits of canvas and quite large clunky fastenings and unsubtle straps.

I also have a very smart Radley bag which I use for smarter days.
If OP wants 'smart' then I think Kipling might not be the thing, even tho lots of us love them for their many other qualities !

Well Kipling are doing more smart stuff now - but they are the top end.

Agree Radley really good - I also like Tula - or are they the same?

I also like some of the Clarks leather ones - I have a sleek black one for funerals.

Kipling are expensive and I wouldn't buy at full price.
