Kipling Bags

I would agree they're not what you'd describe as 'dressy' (although I think they have been releasing some 'glitzy' styles recently) but Kipling bags are certainly practical and secure. I have a small cross body Kipling bag which is very lightweight and has lots of pockets so I can get a surprising amount of stuff in it. I always take it with me on holiday as it doesn't take up much space, can carry a lot and feels very safe as it's close to the body and small enough not to be too visible if you know what I mean.
My mum has loads of Kipling bags and I do think they're pretty versatile. She has lots of different styles, colours and sizes and for day to day wear I don't think you can get much better really as they're durable and long-lasting.
They are expensive but worth it I reckon. You can get generally find good deals for Kipling bags on Amazon.0 -
Another HUGE Kipling fan here too, I would suggest if you want a medium size bag then this style is a good allrounder http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kipling-Womens-Raisin-Shoulder-Expresso/dp/B001MBUSQW/ref=sr_1_6?s=clothing&ie=UTF8&qid=1329305085&sr=1-6

I use a Defea as my daily bag and its great for organising everything within easy reach, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kipling-Defea-Black-Medium-Handbag/dp/B000XM1P1I/ref=sr_1_14?s=clothing&ie=UTF8&qid=1329305127&sr=1-14
I prefer grab handles that will sit over the shoulder too although you get detachable straps so it can be cross body also.
As others have said Amazon and Javari are very good for discounts on select colours and styles. Also Rtherapy sell Kipling at substantial savings too.
QVC tend to offer some stlyes only they stock but TK Maxx often have Kipling in, I saw 4 different styles last week significantly marked down from the RRP.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

What I would also say is that Kipling last for ever, I've never had a bag strap, handle or zip break on me. They are waterproof so can be plonked in the washer if necessary, remove monkey first, the fabric is indestructable too and the colours are very varied.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Do you live near Bicester Village? I always get mine from the Kipling Factory Shop. Really good reductions.I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
I have a few Kipling bags & they are very good quality. They are very sturdy. My rucksack has been overpacked for many weekends away. They also handwash well. Some of them are hideous. Mine are all plain and in neutral colours. I think they are overpriced, but I got mine at Bicester village at 50-75% off.
Great place to get them from. Mine (Mary Poppins bag by the amount I can stuff in) must be a good few years old now but gets chucked in the washing machine & comes out smiling.
Also worth checking independent bag shops for ones on sale.Truth always poses doubts & questions. Only lies are 100% believable, because they don't need to justify reality. - Carlos Ruiz Zafon, The Labyrinth of the Spirits0 -
I love my Kipling Jarita bag. I can get loads in it and it still looks the same as the day I bought it, about 18 months ago. Most of the bags I've had would usually have started to come apart at the handles by now but this one is showing no sign of breaking.
It goes across the body and leaves both hands free all the time, which is just what I want.
I got mine from Debenhams in a sale.
I can recommend Javari - picked up another Kipling bag from them in a sale. I sent it back because it was too small for me but the customer service was good.0 -
I have a Jarita too - love it! My other favourite is the Syro, for times when I don't have too much to carry.0

My mother (75) has Kipling bags. And QVC on speeddial.
Plastic, market stall junk. With a cruddy £2 toy dangling from them. But at real handbag prices.
Try going into shops and looking at bags - it's the only way you can see whether they look or feel as good as the image on a website.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

You are completely wrong - they are not "junk" at all, they are actually very good quality. What is a "real handbag price" anyway? My sister spends over £800 on a handbag!0 -
I don't like Kipling bags but my S-I-L does and I know that they're quite expensive. They don't do it for me at all and I can't see the point of the dangly monkey.
I spotted a brand new one at a coffee morning sale and bought it for £1. Stuck it on Ebay and sold it for over £20 and the buyer was thrilled.:j0
