Half price listing day on Ebay (merged)

Blast it. I spent Saturday updating my turbo lister ready for Tuesday and spent ages listing books and all my new items have disappeared! Several hours of work, plus all my books have now been stored so retrieving them all and doing the listings again will drive me crazy.
I've tried checking my back up files but as I didn't back up on Saturday my new listings aren't there either. Wonder what happened?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. There is a small fee for scheduling listings on eBay but you get get around this by selecting a date in say two weeks time and then editing the listing on the promotional listing day to take this off again... eBay then refund the 6p per listing!triplea35 wrote:In the price & duration section just underneath the duration ie 7 days there are two buttons. The one set is is start listing on completion. Choose the one below which gives you the option to select date and time listing starts. There is a small fee for sceduliing listings on ebay. You can get round it by using a site such as Auctiva.com where you can schedule + other applications for free.

It might not seem like much but it all helps if you're selling cheaper items like baby clothes.0 -
Hi
Does anyone bother with these cheap listing days, because I don't!
They are always targetted at days you don't want to list. I have found it false economy as the item listed on a cheap listing day either doesn't sell or sells for considerably less than when I normally list it.
I wish ebay would stop these 'offers' and just reduce fees!!!!!!!

Tuesday isn't that bad a day, if you put it on a 10 day listing so it's finishing between 8-9pm on the following Friday you should be fine.
I've been using ebay since 2000 and aim for all my sales to finish between 7:30pm and 9:30pm on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday and things usually sell, in fact some for a lot more than I hoped.
At the end of the day if somebody wants your item they will buy it.0 -
At the end of the day if somebody wants your item they will buy it
The problem is though, is that it is sometimes difficult for a buyer to find my items as there are pages and pages of other stuff listed!!
I can see if you are selling something that comes up every time someone searches, but when you're item is on page 32, you have very little opportunity to get found.
Doesn't anyone go out any more on a Friday night?? Thought it was only me with young twins that stayed in?! LOL
