Hello all

Did the international call checker for virgin to usa.

Topupnow seems to be the way to go for us - convenience of using same landline etc

A couple of questions - we are ex directory so how will the 0911-0331 331 premium number know who we are to credit our landline? or do manually reveal it with 141 or whatever it is?

During the call to usa do u get a warning before it cuts u off?

Have u used this servive from a virgin land line?

Any issues with getting billed from the premium number (overcharging etc)?

TIA

Er - you do know how much calling this premium number is going to cost you per minute? As for being ex-directory, this has no relevance. Whether your name is printed in a book has no relevance to a telco, indeed even if you withhold your number, they still get it - as this is one of the benefits to larger users, they get all the call stream set up information, along with a flag telling them NOT to display it to the 'end user'. So, like Sky, they know where you are calling from, as they use C7 line signalling. This is a 'professional' version of caller display.
  • Yes 1.50 a minute. Which gives 5p connection fee the less than 1p a minute. If its all legit and works which why im posting.

Thanks for the info regarding them being able to credit my line by getting mu number.icon14.gif

Yes, I have used TopUpNow from a CLI-blocked number without a problem.

I also used to use it from my cable line when I was with cable (a few years ago now). Each top up was £1.50.

Worth noting the 0911 number is £1.50 per call, not per minute.

Don't recall any time left warnings - but I used the service for 0p/min calls so this wasn't really applicable in my instance.

    Hope this helps.
  • all clear now and have it set up- thanks
