Nothing a touch of reality to scare the cowards away.

Or, they are wasting their time on plotting ways to trip you up on some pathetic technical question, that they don't really have any idea about. :D

I think you are doing a good job of debunking the myth but I wish you hadn't using the line 'raping the system'. It's tasteless.

I have no objection either way. If someone disbelieves me or my motives, that's their issue, not mine. I am not someone who answers people by sweary rantings. You would be surprised how many expect a benefit claimant to be illiterate, rude and loud. i do thing differently, hence why I help people complain when needed. No one listens to a mouthy yob. :money: sorry, used that because it amused me hahaha

I think you are very brave having your circumstances on here and having the usual trolls attacking you. I wouldn't.

It is wrong that anyone thinks you are a scrounger.

It is wrong that employers see your disability and won't employ you because of it.

However £11k is more than enough to live on I have to say.

Thankyou, and it is, for a couple, not for 4 people. Just leaves nothing spare, which was my point. Plus I was answering the many who seem to think people in our position are on £26k.

    Thankyou for your comments.
  • I remember being made unemployed for a short period (about 1 month) approximately 17 years ago, through no fault of my own, at a time when giros had to be cashed in to obtain the money. Is that still the case, or is it paid into a bank account now?

I always remember the smiling face of a post office worker as i approached the kiosk to be served - only for the face to turn to one of apparent disgust as she realised what my purpose there was.

I dread to think how i'd be regarded now, should same happen again.
