Business Phone System Advice needed

Hi all,

We are currently using Sipgate as a Sip/Voip provider and in our office we have 2 Grandstream GXP2000 handsets which have been sufficient up until now.

However, we are planning for the future and spent last week re-arranging our office to create space for 2 more staff and now we're reviewing our phone system.

There are a few shortfalls with the system we have and we're unsure of whether it's down to Sipgate or the GXP2000. We would like to have the ability to transfer external calls to other phones so say someone calls and I answer, I need to be able to transfer that call to my partner and visa versa.

Therefore, I guess we need a phone system that will give each handset an extension number or something (is that correct?)

The thing I like about the GXP2000 is that the handset doesn't send a busy tone if the handset is in use so if I'm on the phone, the other handset still rings so we need to maintain this feature.

If anyone has any advice as to either a different phone provider that will offer the call transfer feature or another phone system entirely, that would be much appreciated.

BT featureline does what you want, and is cheap & cheerful. No reliance on in-house kit or voip.
