Loose shower head holder

Hi, I've bought a replacement shower head and unfortunately it seems too heavy for the current holder. The holder has one single screw which when tightened fixes it for a few days. Any ideas how to permanently fix it? I potentially could take the shower head back for a replacement.

Is the fitting plastic? If so you need to be really careful with threadlock as it is not designed for plastic.
