i just got off the phone to lloyds been on 45 mins passed from pillar to post and still none the wiser. got settlement of 2700 recieved 1800 in my account but on loan statement it has been added to my balance??has this happened to anyone else? what was the outcome?been going on since end of august

Hi there & welcome

With an open loan with an outstanding balance, they tend to use towards it, anything remaining if any should come back to you.

So they have used the amount towards your loan balance then? if this is the case your balance should therefore be reduced.

If your still unclear, maybe you could email them to ask them for a written breakdown and ask them who supposed to have the refund, you or the loan, just to be sure, sometimes its better for an explanation in writing rather than on the phone, good luck.
