Eon save online 5 ending - advice please!

Options
Hi all,
This is my first ever post on a forum, ever, so please make me feel wanted!
My plans ending soon and I don't know which is the best to switch to and am a bit bamboozled by it all. Eon fitted a thermal solar panel/tank/new boiler for me last year (which I won from them) so I don't know if I'm obliged to stop with them or not. I didn't sign anything to say I would so am not tied into a contract for the forseeable....And to be honest ever time I ring up there is nothing on my record about me having it fitted anyway so....
My main expense is the electricity (obviously) so I didn't know if it'd be better not to dual fuel?
Thank you x :)

Welcome to the forums brainybird and congrats on your competition win! Don’t worry, that doesn’t affect your choice of energy supplier.

SaveOnline 5 doesn’t run out until 1 April 2012. There is a £30.00 cancellation fee if you have gas and electricity with us and switch supplier before then, that gives you plenty of time to look into what’s best for you to do from here :)

To start with you need to know your annual gas and electricity use. If you’ve got a recent statement to accurate meter readings, you can find this information on page 2 (as you’re online with us you’ll have to view the PDF copy of your bill to read it). If you’re not up to date just pop some readings in and select the request bill option and you’ll be able to get the figures within 24hours.

Next, pop these figures into one of the comparison sites and they’ll help you work out what to do next. If you’re happy with online billing and paying by monthly Direct Debit then make sure you select those options as these plans tend to offer the best savings. To make sure that all the E.ON plans are included on the list too, there should be something that says ‘compare whole of market’ or something similar.

Hope this helps a little and let me know if you need any more info.

    Amanda :)
