CCTV drain question

Very long story that is cut shorter than a short thing.....
Engineer says 'I cant CCTV survey that drain, the equipment wont fit'.
The drain is about 4" in diameter, is that really too small to survey with CCTV or did I just get a guy with a HUGE camera?

I've seen them using those cameras on different Tv programmes and they're only the size of a pencil.
Just looked on Ebay and saw this,

They've been doing CCTV surveys down 110mm(4inch) drains for years. It sounds as if your man does not have the right sized equipment. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink!I can afford anything that I want.

Has anyone ordered one of these? I'm being quoted £140+vat to get the drains surveyed so this is a lot cheaper as long as it works.0
