Prices on just Fitting a bathroom

Hi,

as a first time buyer IM hoping someon can give me some advice! Ive recently purchased my first house with a beautiful orange bathroom suite..

I want to replace my suite but wish to purchase the products myself and just pay someone to fit them..

My partner can tile so the walls and flooring are not an issue it just a cost for literally pulling out the old bath & sink (not toilet this is seperate) and re-fitting the ones I will have purchased.

Can anyone give me any ideas of cost.

Im located in the derbyshire area so recommendations are appreciated if you know any!

Thank you,

is it a like for like replacement? As in are you moving the bath / sink around? If not its something that could be done yourself fairly easily. If your partner is able to tile i would assume tehre ok at diy, it should just be a case of turning off water supply(draining system) fit isolators, connect flexi pipe from isolator to taps, then connecting the waste to existing waste pipework, if you can change a radiator you shouldnt have a problem with the plumbing and instalation of bath/sink sink is normally screwed to floor through pedestal and bolted to wall through sink.

If your not confident enough with the plumbing i would guesstimate £300 - 600.A day, at most 2 days labour for a plumber.
  • Hi, yeah its like for like replacement. I have suggested to do the work ourselves but he doesnt feel quite confident in doing it just yet, and hes not sure how to remove radiators so we would both feel safer paying someone with the knowledge!

Thanks for your help its very much appreciated!

Obviously local recommendations are best but have a look at ratedpeople.com

Its a website to reccomend or avoid tradesmen, could be worth a look to get some ballpark figures then call out a few from yellow pages, try and find out if neighbours know of any good plumbers. Like i say, not an overlly difficult job so cant imagine to many would botch it.
