brabantia bins

I purchased a brabantia 50 ltr touch lid bin, the catch has sheared off. I contacted brabantia who asked me to look for there logo on the bin.I could'nt find one anywhere, they said the bin was'nt genuine, but I purchased it from Debenhams in Harrow approx 6years ago , any ideas ?:(:(

The only place I can see 'Brabantia' on ours is on the lid.

Don't they come with a ten year guarantee, in which case take it back to Debenhams?

They asked me for a photo so they could work out which catch to send. Mine is on the lid also

Brabantia have always been very good in the past - would be surprised if they suddenly turned sour!

Good luck getting a replacement though.

The logo is normally on the top of lid towards the back.

Just had a similar problem with a broken hinge and I contacted Brabantia to see how much a replacement would be. They are sending me a brand new lid completely free of charge. This is excellent customer service.

Not another reputable company now getting their once superior products manufactured in China? Surely not!
