Opinion on signage for parking tickets

Hi looking for some opinions, my mothers brake failed and she pulled into the nearest space, a month later we received 12 parking tickets notices, i went and looked for a sign and found a tiny sign located in a bush? Now i took pictures but when the cra was parked it would have been covered in leaves due to the very mild autumn, please could you look at the photo (imagining there are leaves on it) and let me know if you think i stand a chance of winning an appeal on the tickets.. Any advice much appreciated...
Oh and please tell me how to attach a photo? sorry im useless...

Big question. Who issued the tickets? Was it a local council/police, or was it a car parking company? Upon this depends our reply....
Don't worry about the photo at this stage.0 -
Hi sorry that info would of course be really useful! it was the local council. I have appealed informally to which they rejected saying they felt the signage was ample! am still trying to upload photo.. please bear with me.. thanks.0

OK, if it was the local council then a response will be required. It is your case that the parking was not voluntary but was necessitated by a breakdown in the car, meaning it was not safe to drive it. This is usually a sound defence. How long did the car stay there, and what happened? If it was removed and repaired all you should need is the invoice /receipt for the removal/repair. This is the way you should be appealing it, though if we do get to see your photo that may also provide grounds for appeal. You may have to upload it to a picture storage site such as photobucket and provide a link; or there are instructions on the "stickies" above.0

Are you certain it was the local council, normally they stick the PCNs on the vehicle, and if it's done solely by post they usually take much less than a month. Which council is it?0

Obviously some idiot removed them from the windscreen thinking they were funny. Def council (adur - in shoreham) the car was parked 18 november and we didnt move the car as hubby was going to repair! didn't know there was a aprking restriction tho so nothing to prove failed apart from the receipt for new brakes! am trying to upload now as think the signage may be my only way forward! bear with me please! thank in advance0

For Council PCNs you will need help from pepipoo forums here:
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=30
On MSE newbies cannot post links/pics but on pepipoo they can post pics directly onto their new topic. See the pepipoo FAQs first 'how to post pictures' and register and start your topic urgently, with one pic of the front of a PCN and one of the back (if the contravention code is the same on all of them). If any have a different contravention detail or location stated then show a pic of that one separately. Also show pics of the lines and signs (obscured by leaves is good).
That is the forum that will save you some money over these PCNs. Most people win most cases even though Councils routinely turn down first appeals.
Oooh, West Sussex, my area. Which street?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

How long was it there for in order to get twelve tickets? Also, at the very least, if the tickets were removed, you did not get the chance to pay the discounted rate. I still say that you would be able to plead the breakdown, the Council probably won't accept it (they never accept anything, like the PPCs) but you have a fair chance of success with an adjudicator. Anyway pepidoo is the best place for this one, good luck.0
