Good evening all
Well a bit of a day for me today...........
I got BANNED!!!! from my local store
I went to my local store this afternoon and bought 6 bottles of Cotes du rhone villages red wine with a sel half price now £5.49. (offer finished yesterday)
I was charged £10.99 at the till so i went to cs and when she went to check the sell had been changed to £10.99. (i had seen a man wondering around the booze iale changing the sels on the beer.)
So i said to her that i had seen a sel for £5.49 and i had a photo of the item as proof that it was there, so she called the duty manager.
She explained to him i had bought them after seeing the sel for £5.49 and took the photo and he said "well how do i know thats today you could have took that any time!! the offer on that wine finished yesterday and the sels were changed last night!"
so i reminded him that i saw him in the isle and he saw me buying the wine and the label was £5.49 when i was there and i took the photo to show my client how much the wine was as it was for her.
I asked him if he or anyone else had changed the sel behind me and agin was told "NO offer finished yesterday sel was changed last night!! you havent been over charged!! do you want them or do you want a refund??"
so i politely refused the refund as they were for my client and i would sort it out later.
i then left the store and phoned ho, lovely chap on the phone told him everything that happened asked if it was possible to check cctv that sel was changed after i picked them up and he said he would call me back later, so i drove home.
2 minutes after walking in the door ho chap phoned me back and apologised and told me i can go back to the store and collect my dtd as i had proof of time stamp on the photo to say it was taken today and time.
I then went back to the store, spoke to young lady and asked "did you know i was coming back?" to which she said "yes no problem ive just got to get duty manager back to authorise the dtd for you", so i waited for him to come and he said with a very peeved look on his face with attitude to match "we will honor the refund to you this time but you are BANNED from this store!!" well i actually laughed out loud!! :rotfl: I said "are you serious ??" and he nodded
while they were sorting the dtd out i said so " why am i being banned? becuse you had to give me dtd?" and again he nodded :rotfl::rotfl:
i couldnt stop myself from chuckling and he kept giving me filthy looks so i said "Thats fine no problem to me, i have used this store nearly everyday so thats custom you are going to be losing its no bother to me i can go elswhere and spend my money!"
when i was given the money he was still giving me daggers and said "just to make clear you are banned from coming in this store again!!" So i said with a smile "thats fine"
i then said to make it clear to him so i'm being banned because you overcharged me and i claimed dtd?" to which he again nodded and then mumbled under his breath at me! while waving his arms at me.
I spoke to the girl on cs and said thank you very much for all your help today bye.
I walked out and phoned my hubby and said you'll never guess what ive been banned from Tesco!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Have you done your email to philip.clarke@ut.tesco.com yet? What have you got to lose, you are banned anyway (LOL). You could highlight to him how good this would look in the press - banned from Tesco because they followed their own policy! And also suggest serious customer service training as a matter of urgency for the manager!0 -
Just catching up so not sure if its been answered but the Dettol handwashes didn't compare last time they were £9.99 in T's and £5 in A's but that was around Oct last yr so who knows

Morning everyone - quiet night here.
My problem with these is that only the silver ones compare (not the white ones), and my two local stores of course only stock the white ones. Easy thing to return for a refund if it doesn't match.
If you have an A nearby, pwehaps wait till the prices are reversed and get even more back through APG?0 -
Good morning everyone. that quiz is really difficult today, had to guess every single answer so only got 3:(ladydlow888 wrote: »Evening everyone,

Sorry to sound like the voice of doom but be careful as when lookin on the websites tesco only do cucumber flavour and asda only aloe so knowing how they like to not price check they may not. Hth0 -

cant find the post but someone today said their stores sel said offer ends 29/2/12, so did not purchase. please check again as my sel was 29/1/12 but it was dificult to make out as it was cut off half way through as it was right on the bottom.
i had a great mail cs, he apologised and explained dtd to me.
there is so many posts mentioning these, so to you all thank you.
The offer was due to expire on 29th January but was extended - in most branches they didn't bother to change the SEL.
I tried to get DTD then and was annoyed that the offer had been extended when I thought I had found a goodie.
Now, the offer has expired but in many branches the old BOGOF signs are shown somewhere and thanks to Sponge Bob Merry Pants
I knew it would work this time.
They do make it hard for the staff - in the branch I went to they must have had Duracell in about 10 different places apart from the main rack near the till. Lots of smaller racks in electrical and the toy department which is where I found one.If you're not scared, you're not paying attention0 -
