  • Has the £1.99 Iams offer finished? Cheapest I found today was £2.45 or something like that.:(

    Good evening all

Well a bit of a day for me today...........

I got BANNED!!!! from my local store

I went to my local store this afternoon and bought 6 bottles of Cotes du rhone villages red wine with a sel half price now £5.49. (offer finished yesterday)
I was charged £10.99 at the till so i went to cs and when she went to check the sell had been changed to £10.99. (i had seen a man wondering around the booze iale changing the sels on the beer.)

So i said to her that i had seen a sel for £5.49 and i had a photo of the item as proof that it was there, so she called the duty manager.
She explained to him i had bought them after seeing the sel for £5.49 and took the photo and he said "well how do i know thats today you could have took that any time!! the offer on that wine finished yesterday and the sels were changed last night!"
so i reminded him that i saw him in the isle and he saw me buying the wine and the label was £5.49 when i was there and i took the photo to show my client how much the wine was as it was for her.
I asked him if he or anyone else had changed the sel behind me and agin was told "NO offer finished yesterday sel was changed last night!! you havent been over charged!! do you want them or do you want a refund??"
so i politely refused the refund as they were for my client and i would sort it out later.

i then left the store and phoned ho, lovely chap on the phone told him everything that happened asked if it was possible to check cctv that sel was changed after i picked them up and he said he would call me back later, so i drove home.

2 minutes after walking in the door ho chap phoned me back and apologised and told me i can go back to the store and collect my dtd as i had proof of time stamp on the photo to say it was taken today and time.

I then went back to the store, spoke to young lady and asked "did you know i was coming back?" to which she said "yes no problem ive just got to get duty manager back to authorise the dtd for you", so i waited for him to come and he said with a very peeved look on his face with attitude to match "we will honor the refund to you this time but you are BANNED from this store!!" well i actually laughed out loud!! :rotfl: I said "are you serious ??" and he nodded
while they were sorting the dtd out i said so " why am i being banned? becuse you had to give me dtd?" and again he nodded :rotfl::rotfl:
i couldnt stop myself from chuckling and he kept giving me filthy looks so i said "Thats fine no problem to me, i have used this store nearly everyday so thats custom you are going to be losing its no bother to me i can go elswhere and spend my money!"
when i was given the money he was still giving me daggers and said "just to make clear you are banned from coming in this store again!!" So i said with a smile "thats fine" :D i then said to make it clear to him so i'm being banned because you overcharged me and i claimed dtd?" to which he again nodded and then mumbled under his breath at me! while waving his arms at me.

I spoke to the girl on cs and said thank you very much for all your help today bye.

I walked out and phoned my hubby and said you'll never guess what ive been banned from Tesco!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I can pass on the name of a very helpful Manager @ HO if you want? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • hehehe Happy days if this works. :j£8.00 off and price check against Asda. Woop! What a team.

For all those buying these, good to use with £5 wys £40 too if you have them from papers.

Luckily I can use DD laptop and get a couple of extra coupons..so I will buy 4 and something little to take over £40. If it works using both coupons get £32 off + £5 off, less than a pound each and hopefully pricecheck voucher back for £19.96. Just a note to self though only buy aloe vera one. HTH someone else too. Sorry if someone has already mentioned, still catching up as usual

It's totally up to you, I was left with gift cards with £3.11 on them so when I had 4 I used them to pay instead of the new £15 one, you will end up with less cards that way and less chance of getting muddled!

As long as the SA is OK (and it seems most are) then they won;t mind.

So I just used the new £15 to pay for the next transaction until I had 4 with £3.11 on each , then paid for the next transaction with those and put the new £15 one in my bag then carried on paying with £15 ones until I had 4 x £3.11 ones etc.

Believe it or not it was easier in the store than it sounds now!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
