in a way freddiesmum i think it gives us a stronger bond ...that we all have something extra in common ...
i remember when i was on hols in Kerala a young waiter lad used to join us at the pool side everynight at 10pm ...he used to gaze into the skies and look at the moon/stars with a look of lost of his face ...when we asked him why he did this he replied matter of factly that he and his girlfriend (who was at the other end of the India - probably Kashmir ) had made a pact that each night they would do this has they then shared a bond and had something in common .
young love eh .
This reminds me of An American Tail when Fievel & Tanya sing Somwhere out There ......
Somewhere out there,
beneath the pale moonlight,
someone's thinking of me and loving me tonight.
Somewhere out there,
someone's saying a prayer,
that we'll find one another in that big somewhere out there.
And even though I know how very far apart we are,
it helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star.
And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby,
it helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky.
Somewhere out there,
if love can see us through,
then we'll be together, somewhere out there,
out where dreams come true.
Makes me cry everytime!
I keep looking up to the sky every night, the night before my grandad left us I asked my nana to show me a sign that she was looking out for my grandad... I got quite upset looking and waiting and said one more time, a few seconds later I saw a fantastic shooting star.
Then the night my grandad left, my mum and I were on the phone to each other and both outside looking at the stars, we both saw two shooting stars, a few minutes after that we got the call to say my grandad had just left us
I know most of you will think I am nutty and it was coincidence but it helps me
Off to go look up in the sky.....
