Great sleigh bed HC, though I am wondering how someone so tall fits in a double sleigh bed, is it long enough? Maybe I sleep funny but I'm only 5'7" and sometimes my feet are off the bottom of the bed :rotfl:

I never have managed to work out why people are so obsessed with ironing, I iron (literally) only for weddings, funerals, christenings and job interviews, apart from that you can forget it!

It's Super Kingsize and it's the only bed I've been in where my feet don't stick a foot out of the end.

I've never ironed for any of those reasons either. Plus when I was in my line of work I was hardly going to turn up to an interview in a clean, ironed pair of overalls.:rotfl::rotfl:

I'm the same. With my old bed, i could use the metal bars at the end to cool my feet if they were too hot, but with my new one, there isnt a footboard bit so my feet end up dangling off the bottom

Thats more than i do! At christmas i washed my tablecloth and hung it up to dry rather than iron it! 4 years in this house and i think i've only got the ironing board out 3 or 4 times. I just dont buy stuff that needs ironing :j

It might only take five minutes to bung them in the machine but it's the cost of washing them!!

It's also a sod so put the duvet cover back on alone.

I can highly recommend duvet clips, they make changing the cover soooooooo much easier....

Mine were under £2 from dunelm, I've seen them in a few other places too.

On the subjects of bed & bedding, does anyone know any good firm pillows? I keep buying cheapies and they are ok for a couple of weeks and then they just go flat as a pancake. Anyone got any good ones that they could reccomend? Don't mind paying a bit more as might mean I can actually sleep properly!

I can highly recommend the memory foam ones from poundstretcher, they're about £8 each but they stay very firm.

Sure!;) One is Post It Z-Notes sel of 50p with a star, thought might be cheaper but £4!!! But I found them in a store later sel of 50p and scanned at 50p too:( so I didn't buy them! It's amazing the price differences between nearby stores.

The other one - it's something I get and send to my Nan as a pressie whenever I find it and she loves it so I'm not going to put it on here (lurkers) but I will tell any regular posters who PM me!;)

    I'm not really a meanie!:)

Thanks very much, will look out for the post-its :)

Fudge_Cake - Sorry to hear things are tough for you too :(

Weight loss going very badly, lost 5lb two weeks ago, got all motivated etc only to go in the following week and be told the scales were set up wrong and I'd only lost 3lb, oh and I'd put on 3.5 this week. Really finding it difficult to be arsed eating wise so trying to keep going exercise wise instead :o

Kadison was is SW you are doing? I think I rememebr that it was.
I found my first week really hard, but now I have got into it and discovered lots of lovely thinks to eat. If it is SW and you want any ideas of yummy 'free' foods just let me know.
BTW loosing 3 pound in a week is great, you have only got to do that for 5 weeks and that's a stone gone.

The trouble with this thread is I come on for 5 minutes and stay an hour:eek::eek::eek:I like ironing but my elbow doesnt:(But when I iron I have a 3 ft rail I put up and as I iron and stuff gets hung up on it I have to put it in colour order:o Everyone knows I'm obsessed with it, I think it's a throwback from having a clothes shop for 20 years and I all the clothes were always arranged in colours. I love seeing my rail full of ironing all in colours. When my elbow gets really sore Mr Lala gets an ironing lady to do it and I hate it because I don't get the satisfaction of seeing it all on my rail:o:o:eek::eek:Can't believe I just admitted about my rail:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Really off to bed now, night night.

    I don't iron-ever.Life is too short.

Wash clothes - hang up to dry - wear - etc etc.

I believe some people iron things like socks....:eek::eek:
:) Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be :)

    And get lots of glitches!

Yes, it's very pretty. I have some "Summer Chintz" cups and saucers which I never use. I think I'll give it a try with those.

Oh I used to collect that, so so pretty but I got annoyed with the small dinner plates and could never find any decently priced bigger ones, so I sold it all and replaced it with denby greenwich :o

Today I nipped into T's the drinks section was empty hardly any cartons or cans left. I got 75 clear pocket files for 25p. Also they'd run out of standard size carry bags as apparantly they have been spending too much money on them. They only had the really small bags, the man in front wasn't impressed when he had £160 of shopping:rotfl:
The SA told him the staff have been offered £100 if they can come up with a solution to the amount of bags used by customers. He used a few choice words and told her to tell the manager he should be sacked and his wages used for proper sized bags:rotfl::rotfl:

Good idea, T's are such cheapskates, you can bet it's about money and nothing whatsoever to do with environmental concerns!
