    phew....that was a good shop!!
As planned, eventuallly managed to get everything I wanted (had to try Ts number 2 though as number 1 didnt have all products!)....got my shop down from £44.43 to £10.51.... (only using mocs...no JTD vouchers)...this SHOULD generate a JTD of £15.43 !!!!! :):):)

Also...DD1 was getting a bit narky as wanted chocolate and dragged me down the seasonal aisle to look at the easter eggs....and spotted the Temptations at 1p......never paid for my shopping so fast....paid on manned checkout for normal shopping and 2 SAs kept asking me the details for SSM so they could get lots of vouchers...all I wanted to do was pay fast so I could go back in and get the Temptations....eventually got them...10 boxes....then realised these would all get pinched so went and got another 6 boxes.....that was 4 hours ago, and true to form, I have 6 boxes left....mum, sis and friend have nabbed a load!!! :)

And on the way out, I spotted a loan Sabatier knife set...scanned at £12.50 so got it for a friend of Martins who I know was hunting religiously for them!!! :)

All in all a good day!

Hope others are having just as good a day....and if not, big hugs :)

  • I have reassessed my shopping list for today and taken out all laundry products no matter how good a deal they are. I need to be using up supplies and stop building them. I think we sometimes have a bit of a siege mentality, especially if we are having hard times financially, which leads to stockpiling. One thing I am learning (Nikkilala always said this) is that at some point in the not too distant future there will be another offer, another good deal, another glitch, so I need to draw the line somewhere.

Somewhere on MSE there is a "using up toiletries" challenge thread - I think we may all need a using up laundry and household cleaning products challenge thread instead.

Strange thing is that since all these brilliant cleaning offers have been around, my house isn't any cleaner. In fact, it is probably messier because I spend more time online trying to work out best way to use up vouchers etc. Think I may have lost the plot somewhere along the line, so as it's now a nice sunny day, I'm off out to enjoy it.

I can sympathise with that. Although I got a letter this morning from Grampian Housing saying that they are inspecting ALL their flats soon so I'm going to have get my bum in to gear and do a massive spring clean.

I'm sure he'll be up when the postie bangs on his door in approx 49 minutes .(if the mail is up to scratch)

12:20 it arrived. My postie never brought it though, it came on the parcel van. The sorting office is only 10 minutes up the road from me and depending how many parcels he has to deliver between there and me he can be really early. I've been woken up by the parcel mannie at 7am before.:eek:

I'm not being funny but have you followed the installation instructions fully? When I got my HP it was a case of plugging in the printer, insert the ink cartridges then insert the CD on the laptop and it was literally Bob's Yer Uncle from then on.

My garage cupboard is heaving under the strain of softener :o I stocked up when it was working out at 5p before Xmas. I got 8 more this week because they were free. Might go out later and add up how many 'washes' I have and see how long that should last. I can donate some to my brother when he gets his own place but I think some of the stuff will go off before I get to use it so bar trying to flog it, anyone any suggestions for where it could be donated?

I'm concerned at the amount of softener and liquitabs I've got. The liquitabs I'm using now are at least 4 years old. I've got 3 big boxes of gel tablets in the cupboard that are also at least 4 years old. I only wash when I have a full load and just being me in the flat that isn't very often so I reckon what I have should last me a lifetime providing it doesn't go off.

    Just back from T's.
Nothing much to report on but finally won a cadburys bar today so used that, alongside 3x oral b-should get a JTD back!:j
With main shop used £5 off, 2x fairy and mum used 4x comfort which the SA wanted to call supervisor over for who read the voucher a couple of times and finally let it through.

Still have 2x sainsburys flash/fairy, 2x herbal essences/head and shoulders which we use anyway so will leave out JTD for them and just buy the shampoos when they are on offer at T's.
