You can use the broccoli stem in soup. Broccoli and Stilton soup is lovely.
When it all gets blended anyway, who cares?!
Even things like celery, I just rinse the entire thing then chop through the lot in one go as I need it, leaves in the middle as well go in the pot. They are entirely edible and incredibly good for you!
When I pull carrots from the garden, the leafy tops are also put in stocks, soups n casseroles along with the carrots!!!

Don't sling em, use em, is my philosophy.

Why make work for yourselves too. I don't peel spuds n carrots when slowcooking meals. Just scrub n chop. Even chips have their skins on in my kitchen. ;)

I just knew JJ would have a recipie for stalks , well done JJ :)

Just make sure your order is more than £10...i ordered a game for £9...it was delivered...and they refused to honour the £10 back saying i hadnt spent enough/was only for credit customers etc ...I argued there was no criteria to be met etc etc...they wouldnt budge so returned item today!l

Also tried again today, but wouldnt give me the option to pay now by debit card....could only sign up as new credit customer or existing customer :(

So glad you said this, i ordered £10 worth of stuff and they honoured it with me :D Got 2 packs of twistable crayons and 2 gigantic colouring book and took me up to my £10. Got my refund the day my goodies were delivered :) hope it works for some others x
  • Also, can anyone give me any details on washing powder or capsules that are going cheap!? really need a good deal on washing powder! :(

Oh god...I am not sure what to do with myself...
OH is out at the pub..no idea what time he will be home.. and my Mum is having DS (He got quite tired whilst we were eating dinner over there so she offered for him to stay..he was desperate to so couldn't say no bless him...)
So... problem is what on earth do I do with myself?!?
Don't think I have ever been without both OH/DS since having DS... Only when being in hospital which is hardly a break lol..
I am tempted to go to t's now hoping they are reducing stuff (which I doubt as way too early?!)... wait a bit then go.. or just do nothing, have a lonnnnnnng hot soak in the bath and watch all my rubbish tv shows that OH cant stand whilst eating lots of chocolate.. Cant even believe I am needing to make this decision..I am insane:eek:

I believe you answered your own question , enjoy the bath and devour the choccies ...yummy .

Is this a dive behind my sofa moment? Actually, I'm safe as she has just PM'd me on Facebook to say she's off to T's.:j

    :cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:
Oh my, that was close, I was sat here chuckling away to myself and almost choked on a mouthful of cider. I've just spent last 5 minutes partially choking.

But I'm back now, cider and maltesers:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:and empty jaffa cake wrappers, Happy serious chat required!;););)

Just got back from T's did 20 coupons:T:T:T:Tjust going to pick up DS now and said just got to pop into the express for something, that'll be more comfort;);)Got it sussed, SS only takes one coupon before it need approval, so buy 1 thing and 1 comfort then pay, then buy next thing and another comfort then pay, so 5 things and 5 comforts and no hassle;);););)
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:
