It is only a little one, the blade can't be any more than 2" long and it's blunt (still wouldn't like it held at my throat though!) but I only take it out of the house when I know I'm going to buy broccoli. Dodgy I know.

Can't you just break off the stalk with your hands? I just can't see the police believing you when you say, "Sorry officer but it is only my Tesco broccoli stalk cutting knife."

If you can't break the stalk off with your hands, buy tinned peas instead! No, maybe not a good suggestion!

I would be grateful if someone could tell me which products the Lenor SSM coupons can be used for. My coupons are in the car which is about 20 miles away from me at the moment and I wanted to check Tesco online to see if I shall bother using them. Thank you.

At the mo theres the 1.4Ltr Conditioner on offer for £1.68 (68p ;)) Ive got a few but gonna save the rest and hope the smaller bottles go down to £1 after the current offer. They have been £1 before so hoping for more freebies...

Lenor Pure Care 750ml are £1.99 in T's but £1 in A's so free with JTD.

Other than that, any Lenor product. 1,5L bottles are half price at the minute being £1.68 or something but I don't think they compare with A's.

Thanks for this, Happy. Are they valid for any other product or is it just Lenor?

They can be used on any
    Lenor
    Ariel
    Bold
Fairy non bio. product. Hope this helps.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the other things on that coupon. The Fairy part can be used with the other Fairy (laundry detergent/tabs/tablets) resulting in two coupons off one item. And if you haven't printed any coupons from the SSM website lately you could get a third.;)

Tried, it's actually quite tough and it's soft, not very brittle so doesn't snap easily.
  • Evening everyone

    Just been catching up

    3 dogs:

I am so sorry with what you are going through. I have tears streaming down my face. You and Mr 3 dogs are extremly strong people. I really don't know how you have been coping with all the bad news you have had recently.

My FIL was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer a couple of weeks ago so i kind of know what you are going through.

Both of you are inspirational to many others.

Sending you lots of hugs and stay strong.

You can use the broccoli stem in soup. Broccoli and Stilton soup is lovely.
When it all gets blended anyway, who cares?!
Even things like celery, I just rinse the entire thing then chop through the lot in one go as I need it, leaves in the middle as well go in the pot. They are entirely edible and incredibly good for you!
When I pull carrots from the garden, the leafy tops are also put in stocks, soups n casseroles along with the carrots!!!

Don't sling em, use em, is my philosophy.

Why make work for yourselves too. I don't peel spuds n carrots when slowcooking meals. Just scrub n chop. Even chips have their skins on in my kitchen. ;)
