Are there any butter makers on here? Just had a mammoth butter making session with lots of whoopsied cream - I am new at freezing stuff so wondered if this freezes well and what is the best way to wrap it for the freezer? Any help is much appreciated:)

My nightly update is all very bad news guys :(:(:(:(:(:(

When Mr 3Dogs went down to theatre yesterday, the surgeon expected a routine 1 1/2 hours clean out of infection and fit a drain to get rid of the fluid, but, he just happened to look behind a tube and ................................ found a large hard lump on the back of Mr 3Dogs' larger bowel, which is a tumour and has spread to his liver, which had a few lesions too. So his routine op turned into 4 1/2 hour complicated surgery to remove the tumour and the whole back of the larger bowel and the lesions from the liver. He couldn't stitch the bowel back up as not enough left so Mr 3Dogs now has a 'bag' which is permanent :( The tissue removed has been sent to pathology for analysis and the consultants will be meeting next Thursday to discuss treatment and prognosis, but they have said it is very bad, and uncurable :(

When I went over today to see him, he was on a drip and strong antibiotics, plus patient controlled morphine - he presses a button when the light comes on every 4 minutes to administer morphine. He is remaining positive but does know what is involved. He said, having helped others through their cancer, that he could lie there sobbing and yelling 'Why me?' but that won't make any difference to the facts. He has bowel cancer which has spread to the liver, it is Stage IV, Fianl Stage, and uncurable. Chemo can make halt or slow the growth/spread of the cancer and extend his life, but that is all, and he is going to face it full on

Added to this, the van overheated as I got the the hospital so I just had to pull onto the grass, and when I came out I had a £40/£80 parking ticket private company ;). I limped the van to the nearest garage but when I put water in, it poured out the bottom again as a hose had gone, so I called breakdown who said they would be there within 60 minutes, but took 95 mins. Guy refitted and tightened hose so I got home

I have spent most of the night texting and talking on the phone but have yet to tell Mr 3Dogs' family :o that will be tomorrow now as I am exhausted. I am at the vets at 9am for pup Molly's first injections, then calling at car boot/cafe to let them know about Mr 3Dogs as we have very close friends there. Will go over to see him again at 2 pm and the McMillan Nurse is coming to see us re financial and other help when I am there

By the way, the doctor confirmed that Alan's Bowel Cancer/Liver lesions are not connected to his Grade I Superficial Bladder Cancer in December 2007, not is it connected to the appendicitis or the infection from the op. Also, he just had the all clear from routine bowel cancer tests for over 60's in January. It must have been building up for about 2 years to get to the stage it is at, and has only been found now by chance

Got to add that I went to Mr T in March this morning and found a glitch - Tesco Flavoured Sparkling Water - Peach Flavour - normally 4 for £1.50, went through at 20p each. I did a search and see it has already been mentioned but can confirm I bought 4 and paid 80p, offer did not come off as well as reduced price. I have been looking forward to posting my first glitch, but somehow, it does not feel the same, given the day I have had :(

Haven't caught up yet but am sure that others will have expressed that we all feel for you, Mr3Dogs and family. One step at a time, Mr3Dogs attitude is very positive.:grouphug::grouphug:
