Not me, she probably smells of burgers and cheap deodorant!I agree with you on the pictures thing, the large ones really distort the forum and make it so difficult to read, and then lots of people quote the posted pic in their replies so the distortion goes on and on and on. It would really help if people didn't quote the picture part of the posts when they are replying otherwise it just repeats the problem over and over again.
The forum team are aware of the issues but it's not something that is easy to solve in this version of the forum software (so I'm told). However I do believe they are working on it so hopefully it will be resolved at some point
Glad this question was asked and answered, it makes the forum so difficult to read!No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

I didnt get as many as some, £25 worth and a goodie bag. Fingers crossed they turn up eventually though...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

Just back from T's, handed over my wombled (sort of
) £5 off £40 spend voucher, my free bubbly choc voucher, 3 small JTD vouchers and my wad of SSM vouchers.
The cashier put them through, and asked suspiciously where I got them from. I described in great detail thereby boring her rigid and making her wish she'd never asked :rotfl:
Came up against the whole one per item thingie which I challenged again (but far more nicely than the other day in Troutbridge) as this is my local, and was told it's a new policy to take one per item as they've been losing money through coupons being taken wrongly. I pointed out that they shouldn't have a problem getting the money from the manufacturer since the coupons didn't state one per item, the SA who'd come to assist (no managers ANYWHERE!) said I had a point and should write to HO about it.
Cheers for the suggestion but I was already going to :rotfl:
Meanwhile the cardboard ad sign that was blocking our scanner has been replaced with a stack of DVD players (or something, wasn't paying too much attention!) so we can't even reach around, but since it hasn't worked at all for about 3 weeks, it's no real loss!
Anyway a £64.** shop went down to £49.** after instore offers and then down to £33.** with coupons so I'm 'appy! No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

Use my £10 spend and then got out my £19.25 JTD voucher. Gave it to the SA and they quickly shouted to another member of staff. She stared at it and said, save transaction and we'll take him to CS:eek::eek::eek: then I was treated like a criminal and they whispered and said I didn't scan it as we never get them this high before. Acting like I was breaking the law somehow:eek::(:(
They accepted it finally but still very much upset tbh. I will not be stepping inside a tesco for a while. Having a break I think as I was shaking at CS:(:(
I know what people will say, phone HO but I'm not going to as I don't want to be on their radar.
I think they have already placed you on their radar via their treatment so I personally wouldn't hesitate to complain, the greater impetus being that maybe next time they'll think twice before treating you or someone else like this! Bunch of :eek::eek::eek:s!!!!!I just love my scratching post
I want one! The onesie as well! For anyone interested - Update to recent events.
Called HO after not hearing from them for two days. Was put through to a manager who told me he'd spoken to my local store & was told by the Manager, Deputy Manager and Security that they had no idea about my situation, and no CCTV had been viewed as far as they were aware.
He also told me he had no record of me calling HO and being accused!
Told him the Advisor who informed me of this was called **** and that I called on Tuesday. She could confirm to him the accusation made by the store. :rotfl::rotfl:
Called me back 30 minutes later and told me he couldn't find who this '****' was.
'No worries', I told him 'I remember her extension number'. Manager thanked me and attempted to contact ****. :rotfl::rotfl:
30 minutes he later he calls me again. The extension number I had given him was for a desk and not an individual. The Staff there 'share' desks, and recently the personnel have been moved around and no-one knows who this **** is
'Well you record your calls don't you?', I asked. 'The call was made at 17:58 from ***********, put through to extension number ****, you could trace the call, listen to it yourself and hear the accusation'. :rotfl::rotfl:
*Manager huffs and puffs a little* Tells me he will contact me later. An hour later and finally they've tracked down who this **** is. However, she's just happened to have gone on holiday for a week, so cannot confirm what was said! Ha, then told me his Team Leader (Managers have Team Leaders now?) will listen to **** call with my local store in the morning, and inform me of any progress.
:rotfl::rotfl: Stood shaking my head throughout..
They do just make it up as they go along don't they? Pathetic! No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

Remember to hand MOC over first
Will try but probably forget!RootedNomad wrote: »Hi Caz
I think this is an excellent shop, so good luck and hope you have an SA that makes the shop a pleasure rather than a pain.
Just wanted to say be a little cautious with your accounting basis as you may start double counting JTD's if you are not careful. Keep an eye on the amount you actually spend out for each shop (in this case £21.20) and weigh up what you are getting for this amount and that you are happy with it. Maybe don't take the JTD into account in your first spend as you will be taking that off your next shop (in the same way you have taken the £5 WYS MOC off this shop) and will be "accounting" for the benefit of it next time too - something sometimes draws us into this double counting and we may end up spending a lot more than we think.
Don't suppose that makes any sense even though I totally know what I am trying to say!
No I know exactly what you mean. I still have a nice JTD from the Gold Blend in my coupon wallet but am waiting for a normal shop to use it. There are times when you think wow, I got a £20 bill down to £5 because of a £15 JTD but you've actually used that £15 in your 'effective cost' calculations.
I know what you mean even if everyone else is now shaking their heads at us!lookinforabargain wrote: »the £5 off £40 first!
Nearly made that mistake last week
sounds like a good shop there caz. think ill need to plan one now as well and use my last voucher shame to waste it
This is my last £5 MOC as well so spent some time earlier trying to work out the best savings. I have other coupons but I'm not using them just for the sake of it.
Oh, not sure if it helps anyone but I got an email from McCain which linked me to their site where I got 2 MOCs for baked potatoes and frying chips. The link is:
http://www.mccain.co.uk/mccain-products/
The coupons have 4 weeks on them so holding off for an offer or JTD to bring the cost down.0
