Did anyone here get the amarilis plant from viking, has yours started growing. We got 3 in my family, 1 has grown a tall stem with a bulb on the tip, another has grown just 6 really long leaves and the 3rd hasn't even grown at all.
    My, lovingly, cared for, amaryllis!!!

Well as we are home along parents again we decided to have lunch out. We have a Wyevale garden centre close to us and they have a card loyalty scheme. We get mailings 4 tmes a year even if we have not spent anything and vouchers if we have.

The latest voucher is for meals in the resturant, buy one meal get another free worth up to £7.95. I also have vouchers for free coffees if I spend over £3. So my OH got a proper home made chicken curry with bug pieces of chicken, rice and chips and I had a huge battered cod and chips, 2 cups of coffee. The bill started at £18 odd and then went down to £7.95 :D

We then went to collect our free bags of Royal Canin dried cat food, bit of a fuss at the till but eventually we got our 2 free bags - at £3.98 each for 400g - our Wyvevale is on the Royal Canin stockist list

So on the way home my OH wanted to go to Home Bargains to get some bottles of coke but instead of driving into town and paying 60p for parking we went to Morrisons and got some good bargains without having to pay for parking. Plus I always end up spending masses in Home Bargain, no self control

Coke Zero - buy 2 get 2 free so 4 bottles for £3.98
Chicago deep pizzas, half price at £1.34 each (were 2 for £4 last week at Sainsburys)
Braeburn apples - £1 a bag, stops me munching

(I didnt have my coupon folders with me to check any prices so that also stopped me buying anything I didnt need)

Hoping for a good couponing weekend :T

You lot talking about Chelsea Girl...used to love that shop..into town Saturday morning with friends and straight into CG, could always find something you liked there. Another shop we used to spend lots at was Snob...also sadly gone..:( C&A...not seem so long ago since they have gone...the 'departed ' shops we miss.. :)

Oh I remember Snob - Brass fancy letters on red background & what were those jeans everyone wore? Jean Machine or FUs or something?

My cats love scratching posts but I always cut off the ball and the string as sometimes they get their claws caught in it:eek: and they like to play football with the balls too!:)

I'm so glad your little kitten is OK but you definitely need to take this further with a formal complaint as it could be very serious...

Its the kids first ever pet and I feel really guilty, I should have thought about it and cut the ball and string off like you do. Will do a lot more research before I buy anything for him in the future.

So do you think I need to email the CEO with the complaint?

Had apants day, sun was shining everything seemed fine and suddenly a disconnection notice from BT about my business broadband, I pay by dd for godsake.
Over half hour rowing with Indian call centre who literally laughed at me and told me it was a misunderstanding on my part.......I thought these guys were educated???
Then a battle with nat west to get my 17000 points owed, nearly there, must keep at it.
Finally the council rang and gave me a !!!! and bull story about why the beautiful cast iron lamposts had been ripped out and scrapped, replaced by nasty steel things.
What a horrid day and nothing going my way, feel pants and cried a bit at times as people can be so horrid on the phone.
The funny thing is I work in this line of business and the things that were said to me today are at least a disciplinary offence if not immediate dismissal in my world.
Note to self: customer service, a thing of the past.

They won't have been scrapped, they are worth a fortune! The Council will have flogged them on for a quick buck.:(

Short answer no. you've made a conplaint and it's being dealt with, I think some on here are over reacting!
