Hiya guys - settled back home now :D My train was 10 mins late leaving Newcastle and 22 mins late getting to P'boro and I then got a taxi home (£30.80 + £1.20 tip = £32   tip sounds mean but at least he got a good long fare tonight ;) Dropped my case at home and went round to my disabled neighbour's for a cuppa she had put the kettle on ready after I text to see if she was up ;) then home and sorted through all the mail and had a sarnie before coming on here

I had rung the hospital ward before I left at 5.20 pm and the nurse said Mr 3Dogs had just that minute come back from theatre, that he was drowsy and nauseous but they were going to give him something for that. She couldn't tell me anything about his op data protection  but, when I said I wouldn't be home till after 10 pm tonight, she said that visiting for next of kin would be 2 pm to 8 pm, excluding evening meal time

I haven't heard from Mr 3Dogs but I am sure that he would have slept a lot after his op due to going without much sleep for nearly 2 weeks ;) I am so looking forward to going over to see him tomorrow :j :j

I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)

Just popping on to wish Bobchorba a Happy Birthday (for yesterday seeing as it's now past midnight!).

Thanks to the OP for the Options glitch, not sure who it was. The 16g sachets (fudge brownie) worked out the best buy for me at 10p each, I did a subtotal before scanning the 11g ones (belgian choc and white choc) and they cost me 72p for 4 so not such a great saving there.

Great to hear tablets are working Lovingtescoforever and you are feeling a bit better. :)

    Night everyone.

Judith w has just posted a tip,

Keep walls neutral and brighten them up with colourful objects.

    Then she posted a q,

Whats the best colour for bedroom walls,

A: a neutral colour, use objects to brighten up !!!!

Not the brightest object in the room is she? ;)

It depends on the antibiotic. The NHS site gives advice on which can be taken with small amounts of alcohol and those which can potentially cause a reaction or reduce the effectiveness. It should however be your GP who is best placed to give advice in anyones specific case.:)
True :o I have got my hands on a BNF and generally speaking, general anti-b's are ok, check with gp. Some are not!! I have had this confirmed by my GP. As far as I underststand it, it's generic anti-b's that are OK, specific one's are specific to the problem and will be less effective with alcohol. I have a pretty active medical history! I really do know some stuff!! hth
    Gwrys yn Kernow! :j
