a group on google said eventually its all going to change to timeline. timeline is cool though you can have big picture. who cares enough about facebook anyway.

It's not a case of caring about facebook, it's just really handy for sending quick messages, without having to go and do separate emails.

You can't make someone love you. All you can do is
stalk them & hope they panic & give in

Just had a phone call from OH, FIL has been taken back into hospital this morning he went to see the specialist for his appointment and they admitted him immediately. OH really upset as they have given him between 2 - 6 weeks tops!!:(

Absolutely gutted as even though we knew it was going to be bad didn't expect it to be this bad, OH now running around like a headless chicken as hospital/hospice want his NI number and other docs but can't find them anywhere - have rung up SS and they won't give out the information to us - FIL is delirious and can't remember any of the details bless him. Have been told they will keep him in hospital until he can be stabilised with oxygen etc then will be moving him to a local hospice as soon as a bed is available.

Writing this i feel pretty detached at the moment and luckily have a list of people i need to contact and things i need to sort out which is keeping me pretty much together. Finding it really hard though when talking to OH as don't want to cry as he needs me to be strong as i can hear the pain in his voice each time i speak to him, and i don't want to add to his worries.

Apparently FIL was talking about me a lot this morning - don't know if it was all good mind you as i had a go at him for shouting at my DD the other day - but at least i have made an impression on him.

Asked the Doctor to sign the form for attendance allowance, but she said she can't as he is now admitted to the hospital and will have to wait until he gets transferred to the hospice - but she also said she thinks that by the time it is sorted he won't be around to get any use from it anyway :(:(

I don't mean to put a downer on any of you and sorry if i have done so, just find it really easy to babble on here and know that im not really (i hope) upsetting any one xx

Aww bensonsmum i am gutted for you, your oh and fil.
I will keep you all in my prayers xx

A few days back I input loads of my own old receipts into the Price Check - I wasn't expecting them to amount to much as most of what I buy is on offer or reduced but I wanted to find out which of my regular items price-checked. I decided to input half under my usual email address and half using a second email (there were quite a lot :o)

A couple of them came back with small amounts, under £1, but I noticed that they all came back into the email address which is registered with Tesco

If you want to avoid this then remove the Tesco cookies from your browser before entering the receipt details.

If you don't do this then the site remembers you and uses the email address you originally gave them.

Just to say Bensonsmum (and all the others with poorly loved ones) I am thinking of you and your family, so glad that you can talk on here and that it helps you. I've said before I wish I could chatter away more but I find it difficult, but when I have people have always shown support.

My grandad lost his battle last night and I am totally heartbroken, it makes it so much harder as there have been so many mess ups at the hospital and he shouldn't have left us :(

It's so easy to feel so alone when going through such things, but everyone on this thread is so kind and always here to listen, so if it helps then ramble away.
    Big {{{{Hugs}}}} to you

Aww magicowen i am so sorry for your loss, i know words cant take away the pain but i will be thinking and praying for you and your family tonight xxxx

    Many thanks OP :T:T:T:T:T
Was going to give these ones a miss but just nipped to local boots with 5 x vouchers and got them. Tried to get 5 plus a 16p packet of paracetamol to make up the shortfall but it didnt work, SA had to put them through one at a time which worked fine. Would never pay 98p for something so small but really like this conditioner, always pinch my mums when she has coloured her hair :D.

    sorry slightly off topic :o

I cant find the post were someone gave the recipe for a
cheesecake - can some one point me in the right direction

Also does anyone know how to make nice gooey chocolate
brownies rather then the spongy cake like ones ????:T

I make these ones, I hate choc so not tried them but get loads of requests for them

    185g unsalted butter
    185g best dark chocolate
    85g plain flour
    40g cocoa powder
    50g white chocolate
    50g milk chocolate
    3 large eggs
    275g golden caster sugar

Slowly melt dark choc and butter over simmering water
leave to cool but not set
    sift in flour and cocoa
in another bowl whisk the eggs and sugar until light in colour and double in volume - takes around 5 mins of electric whisking
Add cooled chocolate mixture to the eggy mousse mixture gently combine making sure you dont knock the air out
sift in the flour/cocoa mixture and very carefully mix
with a big knife cut the milk/white choc into small shards
    add to the mixture
bake at 160 (fan) gas 4
try after 25 mins if still loose in middle give 5 more mins
Anyone can cuddle but only the Welsh can cwtch :)
