After my motorway incident this morning, I stopped at a garage and they had lovely warm pastries and hot chocolate, I was sooooo tempted. Waited till I got home and had a banana and yoghurt. Just about to have some scan bran chocolate for elevenses!

Debsjc glad you're ok, scary stuff:(
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:
  • Stoopid question maybe, but been mega busy last 24 hours so not had much chance tolook through the thread but has someone done a list of all the best items to use with each of the SSM coupons? If so can they cut n paste it in a reply to me or gimme a link to the post please? Fanks! :)

Thank you. That has never happened to me before, everything happens really quickly. Before I knew it I was stopped with my hazard lights on, but I dont really remember exactly how I did it! :o

That is a very scary thing to happen, especially on a busy motorway - glad to hear you are OK. You must have had very good driving instincts/quick reactions to manoeuvre to safety - well done.

decon_blue forgot to ask, how did you get on with your car...?

Back to work for me, have a good day... And remember, if you cant be good...goto T's... Lol

Hi Neosi ... thanks for asking.

Car still going but without a working "instrument cluster" (are you impressed I now know what this bit of the car is called :D)

Anyway, I vaguely remember that I switched the interior light switch OFF when I got in yesterday (kids pah!!) but I don't know how long it had been ON.

So, last night when all were in bed I thought I'd have look at it again. At the beginning I noticed that for a millesecond everything lit up and so I left it a while and it got slightly better it lit for about 2/3 secs and then faded. I was hoping all would be OK this morning ... but no :(

Anyway, I've just dropped the 'babes' off at nursery :T and so I have the hand book out now.

Oh and the car is a very dirty (inside and out) Audi A3 (56 reg).

Does the speedo work...? If so you may be ok.. could just be a fuse or bulb for that part of the dash.. If you have the car manual, it will show what fuse controls the dash. In the fusebox you should have a few spare fuses. Follow the manual and take out the relevant fuse, you'll see if its blown. If you have a correct spare (colour coded) swap it an see what happens

I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya that its the above,

Edit : You never said what car it is...

I'm gonna have a go at this after my cuppa ... hoping you're right neosi ... ;)

Me too ... but we're earning more *our* way than we would if we were on the official payroll (or do they have one if you only get JSA + expenses?)
