  • Lovingtescoforever, that's the problem I have in that of the 2 towns nearest my home (total of >8 T's in total) only 2 have pc machines, and none in the town I work in. It's not the first time I've been standing at the checkout with a jtd shop to find things are cheaper than the sel and t.com or on an unadvertised multibuy/bogof. It's a bit difficult to put things back because they are too cheap!:rotfl: I have done it though, but often I'm spending a JTD voucher so can't spend less and have to think quick. You'd think it would be easier after all this time, but no.

    It's only a game

Well once again this thread has amazed me!

just to add my 2p worth, after 21 years married, 7 years since split - I only have one bit of advice- it serves NO purpose to involve the kids in an adult 'fight' whoever was to blame, whoever did the damage whoever suffered more ....it's OUR job to protect our children and as many have found, the other parent often doesnt make the right choices where our children are involved, resulting in serious serious circumstances (wool- OMG how you coped is beyond me) or at very least kids who have seen/heard more than they should.

As much as we want our kids to know the truth (trust me if people knew my truth then you would be asking why on earth I have allowed my kids to go away with him and play happy families this week) kids grow up way too fast in these circumstances as it is and in the end the truth will out, in the meantime it's our job to protect them and show them how life SHOULD be- full of love.

    sorry didnt mean to rant....

Everyone stop apologising about ranting, we are simply sharing our views and showing support for one another.

Ive told you guy things i would not be able to tell my mum and it helps to share the load.

We cope because we have to. Thats what mums do. (book title?) and dads of course:D

Oh, and if you want to know the ins and out, youll have to wait for my book:rotfl::rotfl:

    Evening all

Still looking for those elusive items to pack, everything else is piled up downstairs ready to put in the case.

Happy Valentine's Day whether you are happily married or happily single or somewhere in the middle. I like the look of that chocolate which looks like Caramac haven't had that for years

I can't wait to try the cheesecake recipes
  • ok , any electricians out there? i am getting a new electric cooker and i wired my old in 14 years ago but i seem to have forgotton how to wire it in again. is it just the same as a plug? i dont want to pull the old cooker out just to find out then shove it back in again,as i doubt i will get it back in hole:o

    (Clears throat) Yes, electrician here.
Shouldn't be too much of a problem. Check the ampage again, most cooker sockets are 30 amps double pole switches that say "Cooker". RTFM as we say, read the ... manual, it will tell you ampage and correct wiring, and cable size. Normally still live, neutral and earth, so a bit like a plug.

Frequent is right, if in doubt, get Elec in, but really this is a simple job.

Off out with another man now while OH stays at home, feel free to PM though.

Oh the Olay I posted about yesterday DOES compare. Two of them make a nice £14 JTD, or mine would have if I hadn't been making up conditional spend with reduced items, idiot! Real facepalm moment.
    :starmod: DO IT NOW :starmod:

Agreed! A lot of time I pay then rush over to customer service and get a refund.

If I was brave/cheeky I would pick up one single packet of Sensations and pay for it costing £1.99 and then go to CS and say I haven't realized it was 2 for £2. Get another for 1p and then price check it and get a 99p voucher as it's £1 in ASDA.

Did a shop earlier and found no receipts to womble :mad: I hate picking the wrong SS when you can see receipts at all the other ones!

Might have to go for a midnight womble:o
