Thanks Happy was thinking that about the cheapies, gonna buy the proper one tonight and see if that helps. Taking the cheap ones back to see if they'll exchange them

Totally ot but I know you are the people to ask.

Has anyone here been to calais and know where to get cheap booze? We went last summer but couldn't find the place to go so to speak. We were told to go to eastenders or the tesco but couldn't find them I looked online but I think they have been closed.
We are going again now at Easter.

Thought I would let you know that I got DTD on Maxwell House Cappucinno (unsweetened) in the box with the green stripe today.

Charged 1.99 should have been 0.99.

Would point out that the box with the red stripe (original) is 1.99 and is priced as such.

Thought it might be of use to others

not impressed with todays post. i just received 2 coupons for the lovetub puddings but they expired on the 14th and got a card saying i have an item that the sender didn't pay enough postage on so have to go collect it and pay.:mad:

I went a few years ago and went to the shopping centre in calais (cite d'europe probably spelt wrong), in there was a tesco that only sold alcohol

Don't know if it's the cheapest but we always used to go to Auchan when we did a trip to Calais. Saying that have'nt been for a few years now, but it's like a massive supermarket and quite easy to find. Last time we went it was when they were having riots at the ports over the asylum seekers and it was really scary. We went down the wrong street and came face to face with french riot police with shields coming up it,so we quickly reversed and went the other way:eek::eek::eek:Never been so frightened in my life to be honest:oWe don't go anymore because it's just not as cheap as it used to be, far better to get a T's glitch:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
