French railways - TGV

Hi,

We'll be going down to the Alps on the eurostar and TGV. I've used the eurostar direct before but haven't used the tgv.

It's on overnight service from Lille to bourg st maurice - does anyone know what the facilities are like - are there power sockets for laptops? reclining seats etc.?

Also on the way back we go via Paris so have to cross from Gare de Lyon to Gare du Nord, has anyone else done this, is it a tricky journey or just a simple tube journey.

Thanks for taking the trouble to read this.

Lucky you. Going for a spot of skiing are you? :j

TGV is a very modern train and "some" have lap-tops connections in 1st. The night TGV go slower than during the day to ensure you have a "decent" rest. You have eye shades available and no stops befor 05h00. Low lighting level after 00h00. Tickets will be controlled before departure so no interruptions during the night.

For the return, Gare de Lyon and Gare du Nord are only 1 RER station from each other. Easy as p..s !

Let us know how you get on and ...bonne glisse.
