Cheap Holiday for Teenagers Please

My daughter and her friend (both 18) are looking for a cheap holiday in the UK which is easy to get to by train or coach from Birmingham, end of June early July. It would need to be somewhere which is within easy reach of the station when they got there. Any ideas please?

When i was 17/18 i went to Newquay a couple of times just after finishing A-Levels.Its quite a lively place for young people with bars and clubs and a nice beach. When i went there were 4 of us and we stayed in a caravan at the sunnyside holiday park (sunnyside.co.uk) one year and the following year we stayed at the smugglers haven holiday park in a chalet(smugglershaven.co.uk).As there were 4 of us the cost wasn't much but for your daughter and her friend, depending how much they want to slum it then they could go camping at sunnyside (not sure how much it costs but def the cheapest way) or they could stay in a b n b in newquay. With regards to transport there is a national express coach station and a mainline rail station and if i remember correct both sites i stayed in ran regular shuttle runs to the stations.if you need any more info pm me.

You don't say what kind of holiday your daughter and friend would be interested in. The YHA have hostels in seaside resorts, in the countryside and in tourist cities like Oxford and Bath. Their prices are very reasonable and many of them now have twin rooms rather than the traditional large dormitories. They're much more like youth hotels these days, with no helping out with chores etc.
