Not done Thomas land, but if its Thomas specifically you are thinking of, many of the preserved railways have Thomas weekends. I think this week there is one (possibly also running tomorrow) at the Churnet Valley railway just north of Leek.Adventure before Dementia!0

My daughter loved ThomasLand and when we went to Drayton Manor thats all we went for. Been twice now and I am sure she will want to go again. The rides are great I would say for at least until 6 or 7 even has a troublesometruck rollarcoaster which we haven't been on yet0

If you're just going for Thomas Land, and you have Thomas fans in your family, it is very worth it. There are a lot of rides for the littlies to go on and a good soft play area too.
And as it is winter, the rest of the rides are shut, meaning that Drayton Manor are encouraging people like you who don't give a stuff about the big rides a 2 for 1 discount which you don't get later in the year.

Looking at the website, it is only open 11am-4pm, so is it worth it to you for 5 hours?Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

the 2 for 1 voucher offers online ran out 12/3/12 grrrrr was looking online to go this saturday (opening day 18/3/12) and was coming up at £26 for early online booking and i spent hours online looking for offers. i then tried ebay but the lots finished with not enough time to receive discounts ontime. I then zoomed in on one of the ebay voucher photo and seen that the voucher they were selling was on a yoghurt pot. so I popped the local co-op and for 99p for a 3 packs of thomas the tank fromage frais each 6 pack has 1 voucher. (you need the till receipt) so i got the checkout girl to ring the 3 packs of yoghurts seperately (incase its only 1 offer at a time when i get to pay entrance!) removing the labels took abit of time and patience but ching ching £2.97 later I have saved myself over £100 :j0

well the queues were fab, only had to wait a max of 4 turns to go on each of the larger rides and no waiting in thomas land or even ben 10, we parked close to the entrance (£3 per vehicle paid with entrance payment) there is plenty for the younger children and because of short queuing times it was no problem to take it in turns so we all managed to go on everything. the children and i were exhausted from getting there at 10.15 ( some of the rides were already going even though ride time starts at 10.30!) was quite relieved when the rain came at 4pm. the food was costlly (£7 for burger meal and it wasnt all that!) so for where the car park was next time i'd take my own. just remember if have 2 for 1s then tell the cashier you want the adult for the 1 free else he tried to charge us for the cheaper child entrance! we easily passed our 4 year old as under 4 with no questions (naughty i know but had to be done at their prices!) and 1 metre was the smallest height restriction and even then they just had to be accompanied by an adult so even for small children there is plenty of rides and activities for them. Would i go again??............. at 2 for 1 yes at full price unless i had a lottery win no !:)0

you can buy any train ticket (vaild for the day your going to drayton) and use that alongside a voucher to get 2for 1 entry to Drayton
For example a cheap single from Birmingham NEC-Birmingham new street is just £2.40 (and you can pick this up from any station close to you)
you can then use this at the gate vaild until 30th june
