Removing incorrect searches

My equifax report contains searches by Sygma (Creation) which should not be present.

I applied for a Flybe credit card on 25 January 2012 - for which a search was carried out.

However, another full search (not follow up enquiry) was also conducted a week later, on 30 January 2012. Another family member at my address also applied on this date, so I am suspecting they searched my file by mistake.

In total, there are three searches which should not exist (1 full search and 2 follow up searches).

What is the quickest and simplest way to query this?

I have sent a message to Equifax, but they usually take a good few weeks to respond (and tend not to be as helpful as Experian).

Any advice would be great.

If the other person at your address is financially linked to you, you may find that one or more of the disputed searches are actually what we call 'financial associate searches'. These simply alert you to the fact that your data has been accessed to support an application by someone you're financially linked to. You see these but lenders don't. I had a similar issue with my Equifax report recently and it wasn't clear at all that the search in question was not the type that affects credit scoring. I'm sure Equifax will repond soon with some clarification.
