Helping My Mum claim from Lloyds

Hi all,
My Mum is even less organised than me and recently found out that she had PPI on a loan from Lloyds. It was paid up in 2009, although I was horrified to find out predictably had PPI on it. Long story short; Mum was told had to have it even though worked part time and registered disabled from a car accident years ago.
Now my question is can I send Mum's letters etc. all with my address for correspondence, as I dont want to jump through these hoops only for Mum to lose an important letter, not let me see in a timely fashion etc.
I was thinking I would include all details of her loan and address, although just put my address as correspondence. Should I maybe also include a letter saying Mum has requested I undertake the communication with her signature?
I think I know the rest of the process as this site has been brilliant in managing the process and the success stories spur me on.
I am also taking on Halifax, although I have recently been discharged IVA so hopefully giong forward I will be in a position to help others..
Any help gratefully received.

Do you see your Mum regularly? I've claimed PPI for others before and it's really not that much correspondence. More waiting.
You are far better writing the letters for her from her address, getting her to sign and posting for her. Lloyds will pay up no doubt, but they may well drag their feet and you'll end up chasing them through the ombudsman. Keep your mother in the loop of what you are doing, get her to keep any letters she gets in a special box or drawer and pick them up when you see her."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
Hi and thanks for such super quick responses.
Unfortunately I do not live nearly as close as I would like to my Mum.
I do get there every couple of weeks, although would not want that to hinge on getting Mum the money back in a timely fashion.
I can do that, although would rather keep the correspondence address as here to ensure I action quickly. Second guessed that they would already be dragging their heals...
If it will jeopardise the claim in anyway, will obviously send from Mums but some clarity would be great.
Thanks again0 -
In the first 14 days of a claim, she should get an acknowledgement, then they have 6 weeks to give a final response,(Lloyds take an age anyway!)it should not be too hard for you,if you go down each fortnight, there will be time to read any letters and send a response back if you need to.
The claim will take it's course regardless, you could phone and ask her if she has any response, then when you next go,you can deal with this.0
