In Firefox, click Tools > Options > Content. Is there a tick against the 2nd and 3rd items?

Check that flash is enabled in FF Tools> Add-ons> Plugins

And did you install the correct version for FF and not IE?

when i try to install or uninstall flash it says download will continue after i shut firefox down,but it is already shut down

Right click in bottom taskbar to get the task manager. Click on processes, highlight Firefox and click on 'end process'.
