agreement with NPower chased by Moorcroft
I have an IVA and so all of the joint debtors have chased my wife for Payment as expected. One of these was NPower who we owed £88. Last September we sent them a financial statement and then verbally agreed a £3 per month payment plan. 2 days latter the Standing order arrived as expected but with no cover letter so the agreement has only ever been confirmed on the telephone. I set the standing order promtly but then my wife started getting letters from Moorcroft chasing the same Debt.
Parhaps stupidly we ignored these moorcroft letters and continued to pay £3 per month direct to NPower. The letters from moorcroft kept coming so just before christmas we wrote to Moorcroft telling them we had an arrangement with NPower. And today we recieved anoither Letter from moorcroft saying that they have checked with NPower and they have confirmed that there is no arrangement in place and that we should pay hem £88 so i could do with some advice, clearly i have to write to both NPower and Moorcroft but what approach do i take with each.
Also should i continue to pay £3 month to Npower or should i cancel the standing order? and get them to acknowledge the money that we have paid since september.
Finnally, one last question, my IVA will be paying some money (all be it a tiny amount) on to the same Debt how do i get Moorcroft\Npower to take account of that or should i just ignore this asoect in reality?
