Bank still linking me with ex-wife??

Hi,

I was in HSBC today having a chat with a banking advisor when I noticed on his screen that my ex-wifes address was there underneath mine. Stupidly, it was just a quick flash and it didn't register until I left the bank.

No reason to suspect anything sinister - I know she banks with HSBC. But, since we have been divorced a number of years, any reason why HSBC should still be cross referencing us? Am I missing something?

Thanks

    I would check this out.

My local bank erroneously moved my accounts to my ex-husbands address (as well as his) when he moved.

I noticed online and had it changed back.

In the interim, the bank reported my "new" address to all 3 Credit Reference Agencies.

2 of them took the information off when I raised a dispute. Still struggling to get one of them to remove this incorrect information.

Might be worth (1) checking with the bank, and (2) checking with all 3 CRAs.

Could you still have a dormant joint account?
