I'm no longer in contact with the joint account holder

I took out my loan with Lloyds back in 2006. It was in joint names (with my boyfriend at the time) ALL the payments have been coming out of MY account each month ever since. We split up about 5 years ago (it was a bad break up) and i don't even know where he is!
The questionnaire template that I'm going to send into the bank says I've got to put all the details of the joint person who I had the loan with... can i not proceed with PPI reclaiming on my own? the loan was for ME, and has always come from MY solo account, and all paperwork comes to ME. NEed some advice
