Barclays Current account application online asks for Barclaycard Number?

Hi
I wanted to ask for anyone that has applied for a barclays current account online, it seems to ask for a barcalycard Number if you have one?
Does this mean an existing one or if you were a customer of barclaycard before?
Why does it ask for this number, will it mean that the conduct of the barclaycard account be taken into effect when deciding wheather to open the account?
Also does this mean that there won't be a credit search done if they can see your existing credit card account with them?
Thanks

They will still credit check, although if you have a current barclaycard it would help.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Hi
Maybe as you are a customer they won't run a full credit check,
maybe a Identity check on you instead?
I don't know for sure. But if they are asking for you barclaycard number then they might not need a full credit check as they will be able to see some records your history with them?
Maybe someone else might know?0
