VERY!!! - Shocking company

TV delivered with a big whole in the side of the box, complained straight away and there was not even a sorry said or a refund of delivery.
TV 29 days later has developed a fault the DVD will not play, customer services being as useless as they are again no sorry offered to repair this?
Engineer called me and I told him numerous times I was out in the day so he turns up any way.
I then get a nasty phone call from the company asking why wasnt I in??? I WORK FULL TIME, why should I have to take a day off unpaid for a TV less than 30 days old to be repaired!?!?!?
Funnily enough they put the phone down on me.

Can anyone giv e me any advise over what I should do now?

First of all have a look at the Consumer Rights guide. You could also try contacting Consumer Direct as well. There's plenty of numbers on SayNoTo0870.com

Personally, I wouldn't give this company the time of the day, I don't like the way they treat their customers. Very is part of the Littlewoods group and their policy always appears as if it's the customers fault if any thing goes wrong and not the fault of Littlewoods, Very, or whoever you are dealing with.

To be honest Yummymummysazzle you could also write a letter of complaint, don't email as it will be a waste of time, it bears more weight if you write a letter.

And there's always the CEO to consider if you get no joy.

    Good luck!

I returned a faulty item to Littlewoods once. It was a pair of iBeats Headphones. After a month of using them one of the earbuds stopped working and the sound was all distorted. I called them up and the bloke said 'sounds like they have been caught or pulled'. I said i had used them daily, but they were never caught on anything. I sent them back and got a full refund.

I sympathise with you completely. Can't offer any advice other than to keep at them. I think it's 28 days for a return for replacement/refund, other than that they can repair it. Don't know how you could get it repaired if you or someone can't be home for the repair tho?

I've personally never had any problems whatsoever with Very. Other than them using couriers who leave things in gardens/bins etc. They now have a note on my account to use RM or for stuff to be sent to one of the collect + stores.

  • Now that would be nice, but its never gonna happen.
They should have done the decent thing and exchanged this but no they continue to wind me up with it!!!

I opened an account with them a few weeks ago as I wanted to buy a couple of the £10 otterman's on sale. The following day I had a letter saying they were giving me £1000 credit  A few weeks on I kept getting emails from them saying that someone was trying to get in to my account. I told them to close the account & eventually I had an email saying that they had. Then just as I think it's all been sorted I get yet another email saying they've blocked my account (the one that's no longer supposed to exist) as someone's trying to get in. I give up on them!

Oh soz I went off on one there - hope you get it sorted soon.
