  • Make sure you're on the lookout for fakes. If something sounds far too good to be true it most probably is.

    However, the great thing is you can haggle in most places (excluding department stores). Make sure you get someone to teach you how to say "too expensive" in Chinese. Look at something for a while, and when they try to sell it to you say it's too expensive and walk away. Usually ends with them running after you offering it at a reduced price ;)
