Suzuki Alto Battery problem
Hi there,
Just wondering if someone could advice on approx cost for replacing a car battery and the labour charges? I will be taking the car to the local garage so thought it might be easier if I had an approx cost idea in my mind.
Also, then is it worth involving the breakdown co. for getting the labout cost back?
Thanks

Battery = 055 type
Cost (search for 055) = £35 - £45
Fitting = less than 10 minutes (should be £5 - £10, if not free)
In fact you could buy a set of spanners and do it yourself for less than a garage might charge.
If you've lost your radio security code, that's your own fault. Because changing the battery will lock your radio unless you apply some daring trickery with a spare 12v battery.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Thanks so much but it could be more than just battery problem so I might go to the garage and ask for their costs etc. Appreciate your help and advice. Re: the radio its a second hand car that I bought so no idea about the code :-(0 -
Why would a breakdown company give you the labour costs back?0
