PPI Help!

Hi all,

After much procrastination I have decided to try and re-organise my finances which includes making a PPI claim.
Over recent years, I have had several credit cards, loans and mortgages most with PPI's.

The trouble is, I have long since lost all the account information. My first port of call was the credit expert site where I obtained my credit report. This lists everything but no account numbers or more detailed information etc.

So, where do I start? I have read the various FAQ's and advice on forums but I think i'm now at a stage of information overload so don't really know where to start now.

Any advice is gratefully recieved and apologies in advance for asking this which has been no doubt asked a few times before on here.

Hi,your credit report should have the names of the companies and the last 4 digits of the account numbers.
When you ring the banks to ask about your accounts, they may be able to find you from these last digits.
If you paid loans by DD ask your bank,if they still have this info the account numbers will be there.
Try this for now and see what you come up with.
Others will post i am sure, with ways they have tried to obtain account numbers,so hang on in there.
  • Thanks for your reply. I will be contacting my bank today for a list of DD's on my account. I presume they hold historical information on this? (I've been with my bank for years...)
Once I have progress i'll report back my findings. :)

    Fingers crossed x.
  • Well, contacted my bank earlier today. They are sending out statements from 2006 onwards. Going to have some reading to do in a few days time!
