                    Hi,
Looking to get 2x205/55R16 tyres.
Cheap as possible.
Quoted £55 each fitted budget pair or £45 each remoulds.
Is this resonable? What are your thoughts on remoulds?
Cheers,
BnE

Having been in a car when a remould has shredded, don't.
Always buy the best you can afford, but never go remould.0

I was going to suggest part worn, but if you're keeping it, I'd go for a £55 new tyre, and avoid the remould, but preferably something like a Federal or Nankang from mytyres for £50 to £55, then another tenner each to get them fitted locally.0

More simply - what car is it for?
that's a pretty wide tyre on a decent sized rim so if the car has a bit of power, I wouldn't want the cheapest possible option being the only thing keeping me on the road.
Best value? Maybe, but not cheapest!
EDIT: Find someone who can match this price. Falken aren't too shabby.

 It's a Ford Focus 1.6l petrol.
I hear what you're saying - what would you suggest? The one in your post?0

I like the idea of shopping online for the best price/value - but where is the best place to get them fitted? What would you expect to pay for this?0

I had the same thing happened to me two years ago on pair of new'ish Kleber boots, did your experience was as bad as mine?
I doubt it, when a tyre shred itself it will be scary regardless been remould or non-remould.Five exclamation marks the sure sign of an insane mind!!!!!
