Contents insurance for a Studio flat

Boozy
Hi all,
I am currently renting a studio flat. It has one big room for bedroom, lounge and dining area (sounds cramped but it's lovely) with a hallway, separate kitchen and separate bathroom.
My previous home insurers were More Than, and i couldn't take my policy with me as they said they don't insure studio flats. This annoyed me greatly as i don't really see what the problem is. Oh well, it is their loss i suppose.
Being a regular user of this site, :money: i know that to get the best deal i need to use comparison sites. However, none of them give an option of a studio flats, and you can't input zero bedrooms.
So is this just a case of phoning around to get the best deal?
Or can i input 1 bedroom as technically there is one, it just happens to be the same room as everything else! Am VERY wary of this, as i know that insurers look for any excuse not to pay out, so they could use this issue.
Any help would be much much much appreciated.
Thanks

Personally I would say a studio flat has 1 bedroom, it just it doesnt have any separate reception rooms as the bedroom doubles at that.
If you have any concerns simply get quotes for 1 bed and phone the insurers BEFORE buying to ensure it is ok.0
