How to find out who I'm with

Hi,
can't help you with that, but did you take a note of meter readings, gas/electric, if not then do it now, could save a lot of hassle later on.0 -
I've recently moved into a flat and have no idea who the utility companies maybe who I need to contact (gas, elec and water), Anybody help please?
Who are my gas and electricity suppliers? <<< clicky
Water will be supplied by your local water company. Ask a neighbour if you don't know who that supplier is."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Ask previous occupiers - you'll have a deemed contract with their last supplier. I'm surprised there wasn't some paperwork on the doormat when you moved in - maybe you'll get a 'welcome to BG/EON/whoever' in the near future. Make a note of the meter readings now if you didn't when you moved in - you never know, the previous occupier may have not given correct move-out meter readings.
The only way I can think of of finding out your supplier atm (instead of waiting till they contact you) is to get your mpan/meter number/address and ring round the suppliers to see if they supply you - bit of a sledgehammer method. Alternatively, ring your district network operator (dno) with your mpan, and they may tell you (also they may not, data protection and all that).0
