    Hi, I claimed JSA contribution based whilst pregnant. It's some years ago though so I can't remember all the details. I had to job hunt but I *think* they told me to look for temporary roles, which is also something you could do yourself.

    I qualified for maternity allowance. Don't know if it's the same now but you had to work for at least 26 weeks in the 66 before babys due date and earn at least £30 for those weeks - can't remember if that was on average or not, the 26 weeks didn't have to be consecutive ones.
