One square metre is (roughly) 39inches by 39 inches.
One metre square is the same.
Two square metres is 39 inches by 78 inches (two times one square metre).
However two meters square is a square with sides of two metres, so an area (2*2) or four square metres.

So each side is 8 ft long (give or take)

8ft x 8ft = 64ft square

So if 2.4 metres is 8 feet, 2.4 metres square is 64 square feet (8*8).

I did try but it just made me even more confused, i really hate anything that is feet Thanks everyone for your answers, i think i am a bit clearer on it now

It is not 64ft square. It is 64 square ft, there is a difference.
